HOW IS THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE PRODUCT VERIFIED?

We offer 3 different options for our customers to choose from:

  1. In the event that you order pieces that are still in the possession of the seller, you have 14 days directly after receipt to check the authenticity yourself or to arrange for an appropriate authenticity check (11.1 GTC). This possibility of verification exists irrespective of whether the seller is a private or a commercial seller. If authenticity is demonstrably not given, you will receive a full refund of the sales price.
  2. When checking out on bybalthazar.com, you can use the service ‘Authenticity check by BALTHAZAR’, so that the pieces you would like to buy are first checked by us before they are sent to you after a positive authenticity check by us.
  3. You are buying pieces whose authenticity has already been checked by us, this is the case when sellers have chosen the ‘Concierge Service’, these pieces are accordingly marked ‘immediately available’ on bybalthazar.com.


WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING COSTS AND HOW LONG IS THE SHIPPING TIME?

The insured shipping costs are:

We ask all sellers on BALTHAZAR, without exception, to choose a shipping option that allows the package to be tracked at all times.

We also offer sellers the opportunity to benefit from more favourable sales conditions by choosing a CO2-neutral shipping option. We ourselves ship exclusively CO2-neutral.

Expect an average shipping time of 7 days in Austria and Germany if the products are shipped directly by the seller or by us. If the products are sent to us first for authenticity testing (please see ‘How is the product authenticity tested?’), please allow twice the shipping time.

WHAT MUST BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT DURING SHIPPING IN ANY CASE?

We expressly point out that in any case a shipping option must be chosen that allows the package to be tracked.

Because if this is not done and the package does not reach the buyer, the seller bears the full risk of loss. In addition, the sales commission for the completed transaction would also apply.

We offer sellers to benefit from more favourable selling conditions by choosing a CO2-neutral shipping option. Please send the receipt of the confirmed CO2-neutral shipping by email to contact@bybalthazar.com. We ourselves only ship CO2-neutral.


WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE AND HOW IS THE TRANSACTION HANDLED?

We offer the following payment options on bybalthazar.com:

  1. PayPal
  2. Credit cards VISA, MASTER CARD and AMEX
  3. Bank transfer
 

The payment is processed by PayPal or Stripe for credit cards. The bank transfer is made directly to our trust account at HYPO Vorarlberg, Brandstätte, 1010 Vienna.

DO YOU HAVE A RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AS A CUSTOMER?

Purchasing from commercial sellers, who are required to declare themselves as such when registering on bybalthazar.com, includes the legal right of withdrawal, which means you can claim this within 14 days of receiving your order by sending an email to contact@bybalthazar.com.

When purchasing from private sellers, the right of withdrawal is excluded by law.

However, we would like to encourage direct seller-to-buyer shipping for environmental reasons and therefore offer our buyers the opportunity to check the authenticity of the piece themselves within 14 days. If it can be proven that the piece is not genuine, you as a buyer on bybalthazar.com will be refunded the purchase price of the product.

We have great respect for designers, their creative teams and craftsmanship, which is why only original designer pieces are allowed for sale on BALTHAZAR.


AS A CUSTOMER, CAN YOU OFFER ORDERED PIECES FOR SALE AGAIN?

If, as a customer, you have changed your mind for any reason other than the authenticity issue (please see ‘Do you have a right of withdrawal as a customer?’) after the contract has been signed, you have the option to re-sell the product on bybalthazar.com for a handling fee of 10% of the sale price within 14 days of receiving the goods.

HOW MUCH IS THE SALES COMMISSION?

The commission is generally 25% of the gross sales price of the sold item. From a sales price of EUR 7,000 per piece the commission is 21%. For very exclusive pieces from EUR 20,000 per piece we would offer you an individual agreement.

If you as a seller in direct shipping to the customer provide proof of CO2-neutral shipping by sending us the shipping receipt by email to contact@bybalthazar.com, we will offer you a 2% lower commission rate, as we would like to make a contribution to the environment with every transaction. In this case, it will be 23% or 19% from an amount of EUR 7,000.


HOW CAN YOU AS A SELLER BENEFIT FROM CO2-NEUTRAL SHIPPING?

If you, as a seller, provide proof of CO2-neutral shipping in direct shipping to the customer, we offer you a 2% lower commission rate, as we would like to make a contribution to the environment with every transaction. In this case, it is 23% or 19% from an amount of EUR 7,000.

Therefore, please send us your shipping receipt, which shows that you have chosen a CO2-neutral shipping option, immediately after sending the order by email to contact@bybalthazar.com.


WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU AS A SELLER DO NOT OFFER ORIGINAL DESIGNER PIECES FOR SALE OR THE DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PIECES ON BALTHAZAR.COM DIFFERS SIGNIFICANTLY FROM THE ACTUAL CONDITION OF THE PRODUCTS?

It is our top priority to offer only original designer pieces on bybalthazar.com and to maximise the shopping experience!

Therefore, to protect buyers and maintain BALTHAZAR’s qualitative positioning, we have established the following rules, which apply to all transactions on bybalthazar.com without exception:

If it is proven that a plagiarism has been sold or that the description of the product differs significantly from its actual condition in the case of direct shipment by the seller after the product has arrived at the customer or during the inspection by Balthazar after the purchase has been completed in the case of direct sale, the seller is obliged to pay the commission. In the event of the sale of a counterfeit product, an additional processing fee of 10% of the stated gross sales price shall be due.
